HEIC to jpg Conversion
HEIC is an iOS high density photo format that needs to be converted to jpg to be opened on other platforms.
- Open the Photos app
- In Photos, open the photo to convert
- Tap the icon in the lower left corner and tap ‘Copy Photo’
- Open the Files app; as needed navigate to ‘On My iPhone’ (and create a new ‘convert’ folder)
- In the white space, press until the menu appears and select ‘Paste’
- In Files, open the photo to convert
- Tap the icon in the lower left corner and tap Dropbox or another file sharing app
- In the near upper right, tap ‘Rename’ and rename the suffix from ‘jpeg’ to jpg’ and click on ‘Done’
- Tap on ‘Upload’
Reduce Photo Size
- Open the Photos app
- In Photos, open the photo to reduce
- Tap on ‘Edit’ near the upper right corner
- Tap on the ‘Crop’ icon near the lower right corner
- Reduce the image frame to the minimum
- Tap on ‘Done’ in the upper right corner
